Practice app · Acme Commerce DB

A real SQL database (SQLite engine) seeded with an e-commerce and HR dataset, with schema browser and query runner.

Your starter code already declares TEST_URL — never hardcode a host.

Objective

Insert a new customer the way the sign-up form would, then read the row back and verify every stored value.

Your task

  1. 1Insert into customers: name 'QA Tester', email 'qa.tester@example.com', city 'Austin', country 'USA', created_at '2025-06-01'. Let SQLite generate the id.
  2. 2Read the row back by its unique key: SELECT id, name, email, city, country FROM customers WHERE email = 'qa.tester@example.com'.
  3. 3Confirm the generated id is 31 (the next free id) and each column holds exactly what you inserted.

Acceptance criteria

  • customers contains the QA Tester row with the expected values
  • The last result set is that row read back by email
  • The script uses INSERT INTO customers

Constraints

  • Every run starts from a freshly seeded database, so your script must include its own setup statements.
  • Only the last result set of your script is compared, so finish with the verification query.
