Practice app · Acme Mobile
A mobile app in a device frame. Elements expose data-accessibility-id (= aria-label) for AppiumBy.accessibilityId.
Your starter code already declares TEST_URL — never hardcode a host.
Objective
Get an Appium 2 server with the UiAutomator2 driver running and prove a session reaches the app's login screen.
Your task
- 1Install the server (npm i -g appium) and the Android driver (appium driver install uiautomator2).
- 2Start it with appium — it listens on http://127.0.0.1:4723 by default.
- 3Run the starter: it creates a session with app = TEST_URL.
- 4Find the login button by accessibility id "login" and assert it is displayed.
Acceptance criteria
- The login screen is shown
- The login button is located by accessibility id
- At least 1 assertion passes
Constraints
- The practice runner provides the server at 127.0.0.1:4723 — your code only needs to connect to it.
- Keep app = TEST_URL from the starter — it installs the practice build of Acme Mobile.
